This November 2nd a few thousand friends and I are going to play video games for 25hrs straight for charity. Why? To show that 'gamers' aren't all lazy, self-absorbed people living in their mother's basements? Nope - because kids should be able to be kids.

I had a previous post about population balance in Planetside 2, but after revisiting the game I have some more feedback: Continent population balance is currently broken leading to steamrolling.

I am a member of a mature gaming community that rose up around DayZ but is branching out into other games. This is a casual, no-commitment, environment that currently has a tight knit group of players and is looking to expand.

Saw the DayZ dev Tumblr posted on Reddit today and took a look at it since it has some pictures. I read the older posts and picked up on a couple of things.

Here are some notes I made from watching some dev interviews and reading the WarZ forums. It may answer any of your questions that you might have.

Planetside 2 is a big zergy, lagfest massive Battlefield 3 clone with 3 factions. I played a pile of it the last couple of days, and honestly I don't see me having the energy to play it to showcase the classes in videos.
