EA: “oops, actually iOS Rock Band here to say”

EA: “oops, actually iOS Rock Band here to say”

Apparently the big blue error message I reported on yesterday telling users of the iOS version of Rock Band the game would be unavailable to play after May 31 was a ‘mistake’ according to EA.  That’s a pretty big mistake, and it took over a day for the publisher to acknowledge it. I don’t believe EA for a second.  Twitter and Reddit both exploded and many emails were sent to Tim Cook at Apple and everybody at EA...

The only map that was playable save for the last few days of the open beta was...

UPDATED – EA: “I’m sorry we can’t take your call… we are too busy screwing up Dragon Age 2…”

So… not only does Dragon Age 2 come with the crappy secuROM DRM (unadvertised, btw) but EA now thinks that it can stop you from playing the game you legally BUY if you say something on their forums it doesn’t like? Bioware, how I loved thee… EA suspended a user of the DA2 forums for calling out Bioware for folding to EA, their publisher.  Should this person not be able to post on the forums for a few days to calm down?...
