Aion Was Good. NCSoft Is Crap. Captchas Are Retarded.

I haven’t played Aion in weeks, and have not missed it at all.  After the latest patch notes for the upcoming version 1.5 I am certain that I will not play anymore and will be cancelling my account.

I refuse to play a game that prompts me with a captcha to gather or loot materials.  If NCSoft had a damn clue they would have made their gathering nodes pop up at random locations to reduce botting.  Putting a game out, that is not their first MMO I might add, that spawns resource nodes at regular intervals at the same places is encouraging botters.  You don’t have to be a MENSA candidate to figure out that you can position your character over a node and write a script with one of the many dozens of PC utilities to right click every 10 seconds and level up your gathering and fill your bags with materials.

If an idiot can find a way to automate gameplay the problem is the development and not the player.  Don’t pop up a captcha, fix your damn game.

This game had promise, but underdelivered and the developer has continued to make stupid changes that will in the end destory itself.  Are you sure this isn’t an EA game?
